Solar Panel Installation / Fitting Service (Nationwide)

Installing solar panels onto caravans, motorhomes, narrowboats and yachts can sometimes be a little daunting, especially when it involves drilling holes into your prized possession, attaching permanent brackets, electrical wiring etc. Whilst a typical solar panel system can often be installed in just a few hours using simple DIY skills, having a professional do it for you gives that extra peace of mind and satisfaction that you know the job has been done properly, as well as saving you precious time.

In response to demand for a solar panel installation service, we have teamed up with "Rhino" to offer a nationwide fitting service. Rhino Installs have over 10-years' experience installing and setting up mobile power systems, including solar panels, inverters, lighting and even air conditioning. With their customer focused approach to business, we feel confident that Rhino will provide the same high levels of support, quality and efficiency that our clients expect. The Rhino installation team have experience with all makes and models of motorhome or caravan and have worked on many live-aboard and pleasure yachts, narrowboats and motor boats; even if they haven't come across your specific installation before, they have the expertise to work out the best solution.

The installation charge for a single solar panel system is £179 (including VAT), plus travel and petrol costs based on the distance from the Rhino service centre. Costs include the fitting of a standard solar panel using your brackets, setting up a single battery system solar charge controller, laying cabling and hooking everything up to the internal power distribution. Incidentals, such as additional sealant if required, screws and fuses, as well as the charge controller to battery cable are also included. Where TUV approved spoiler and corner mounts are being fitted, it is important that they are affixed using the approved Sikaflex 252 bonding kit, which should be purchased in advance and given to the fitter when he arrives. Additional panels and brackets can be fitted for only £35 extra and a dual battery system, such as the Sunware FOX-320, is an additional £25.

When ordering the solar panel fitting service, you will be asked to provide suitable dates; please try to be as flexible as possible as Rhino fitters are busy across the country. Once you have placed your order, you will be contacted within 48-hours to confirm a fitting date. In all correspondence, please quote your order number and/or that you are a Cleversolar customer.
