Low cost solar panels are typically made with polycrystalline cells, which are perhaps the most established of the three main silicone technologies, offering a compromise between technical performance, physical size and price. Smaller than amorphous panels, but larger than mono-crystalline; less efficient than mono, but more efficient than amorphous; polycrystalline panels are a balance between the two.
In response to significant customer demand, the Cleversolar engineering team spent 3-years deliberating about whether or not to introduce a 'low cost' range. Given the current economic climate and people's increasing need to compromise between what they would like to buy and what they can afford to buy, the engineers finally swallowed some 'technical pride' and chose what they believe to be the 'best of the rest'.
The Cleversolar 'low cost' polycrystalline solar panel range may be a compromise in technology, but it bears all the hallmarks of the uncompromising approach to quality that our clients have come to expect.
